I found a barber! Italy is beginning to feel a lot like home.
His name is Alfonso and he did an awesome job and we bonded over living in Florida (he lived there for one year and I lived there for 17).
He even washed my scalp after to remove extra hair. I have never had a barber do that.
In the end, I tried to tip him, but he seemed confused. I don’t think they tip barbers in Italy. I told him, “in America, when people do a good job, we tip them, and you did a great job!”
He thanked me and expressed hope that I would return.
